The Canadian Insurance Scholarships are established and administered by ILS Learning Corporation (ILScorp), the leading online education provider for insurance professionals.

Description and Eligibility Criteria
The Canadian Insurance Scholarship Program is open to eligible applicants in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia who would like to pursue a career in the insurance industry. The education scholarship includes online Level 1/Fundamentals of Insurance course training and licensing exam fee.

Selection Criteria
Scholarships will be awarded based on the demonstration of intent to work in the insurance industry, personal qualities and letters of reference. Applicants must also be committed to completing the online preparation course within 6 months upon award.

Applications are made online.  All applications will be regarded as confidential. ILScorp assumes no responsibility for missing documentation or information. ILScorp reserves the right to require a candidate to furnish additional information or references.

Selection of Successful Candidates and Payment of Scholarships
ILScorp will advise all applicants of the outcome of their application. Acceptance of the scholarship implies an obligation on the part of the recipient to devote her- or himself to the program and time constraints (6 months to complete training). Any proposed change of plan, or extension in study time must be submitted to ILScorp for approval.
Each scholarship will be awarded in two parts. The first part includes online access to the preparation course, including Student Club tutorial program and other resources. The second part includes exam registration and payment of exam fee. The second part is conditional upon the applicant successfully completing the preparation course and receiving satisfactory results in the online practice exams.
